Jimi Abdou signs new contract deal

Well done to Millwall FC for obtaining the contract renewal for Jimi Abdou.

The official site reports today that: “Midfielder and current Player of the Year Jimmy Abdou has pledged his future to Millwall for a further two years after penning a new contract that keeps him at The Den until the summer of 2015. The Comoros international, 28, initially joined The Lions from Plymouth Argyle in 2008 on a two-year deal and has gone on to make 190 appearances for The Lions, scoring five goals, including the all-important Play-Off semi final goal at Leeds United to take Millwall through to the Final in 2009.

Jimmy capped an outstanding season in 20011/12 when he was voted by the fans as The Lions’ Player of the Year, and he has picked up where he left off with some typically tireless performances in the middle of the park this campaign.”
